MICRO CLUTCH TESTER (LVFA)
This Low Velocity Friction Apparatus (LVFA) manufactured by Komatsu, focusses on the friction coefficient in wet clutch material at low velocity. Friction at various temperatures and speeds is measured, and is relevant for the brakes and coupling characteristics of heavy equipment among others). Shudder can also be measured by the JASO M349 method up to 30 mm/s velocity.
